Hey there! We probably have more in common than you think. In fact, I'm certain we do. Through our joy and our pain, we're all simply human. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for people to believe they are alone in their personal hardships. One of the main reasons for this, is many of us are taught from a young age not to talk about the "bad stuff." When children are shown that it is not safe to share their authentic selves, the message stays with them into adulthood - creating desperation and isolation in their hardest times. What keeps many people stuck is shame. I've worked with several folks that have hid their truth for years because of the amount of shame attached to their stories. I always recite, Ann Voskamp, "Shame dies when stories are told in safe places." LOVE sees you as you, a perfectly imperfect human being, reacting or responding in the way you know how. FEAR, (shame) sees you as your actions. My commitment to myself and others is to operate in love. I seek to understand and see individuals behaviors as a reflection of their inner world, something that they can create awareness of and change, if they but only choose. I help folks listen to and heal their core wounds through a multi step process that begins with eliminating shame and recreating the automatic, subconscious beliefs about themselves. I start this process by taking time to build a foundation of trust with those I work with and letting them go at their personal pace. Everyone’s journey is different. |
My approach begins with asking the question,
This is your unique journey. While we work together, I’ll provide you with tools, resources and homework to help guide you in removing the blocks keeping you from your desired goals.
I'm experienced in guiding individuals through grief, life transitions, and relationship hardships. The core of the work I do is based on Internal Family Systems therapy, an approach to individual psychotherapy, developed by Richard C Schwartz.
** I work closely with therapists, nurses and fellow educators on my guide team to continue training in the field of trauma informed care. While I am studying for my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am not a yet a licensed therapist and do not give out medical advice or provide diagnosis to individuals I meet with.
Wherever you’re at in your process, I’m glad you landed here and I hope I get the chance to meet with you.
We’re all in this together.
Warmly,
Kim Sieradzki
